Dog gone tired. :)
I've done more than the aforementioned, in case you were wondering.
--The Children's Home was heartbreaking/awesome, and it was a blessing to spend time with my Placebo sisters.
--Class has been such a good experience--the schoolwork isn't hard yet, but what they're training us to do will be. But our gracious God is gracious for things like that, yes He is. :)
--Acquire the Fire was phenominal, and the students were blessed by the retreat. I will have to do a post on that, cause there are some funny pictures to share...and how fun are blogs with fun pictures?
I haven't done a whole lot of crashing, just a whole lot of running.
And while I'm running around, thankful for opportunities to serve, the Evil One hasn't been sleeping.
Praise Jehovah Jireh (my Provider)...there has been equal joy to the weariness. :)
Joys anyone? Okay...
--When I get to see evidence that my family is happy even during hard times--not financial/material/superficial, but real happy.
--Connecting with the students at ATF, especially with ones I'd "missed" for lack of connection for a long time.
--Going to the nursing home with the SWAT girls and painting the lady-residents nails.
--Learning the beautiful language of Swahili....Hujambo! (hello)
--When I see the glory of God in the circumstances of others, even when they are difficult and wounding.
--When I see the glory of God in the circumstances of others, even when they are difficult and wounding.
--Weekly phone calls from girlfriends that never get old or redundant (shpell scheck?)...re-duh-n...yeah that one.
--And Psalm 51.
Until I get to blog for reals, may your Creator God bless your new week. See the joy/happy in it...even if you're running ragged, and the Evil One is snoozing on your heels. Remember...your Savior has already crushed his head.
Habari za jioni...good night. :)

Aw, sweetie pie. Go take a loooong sleep. ;)
ReplyDeleteSounds lovely-busy!
Goodness.
(hugs)
Aw, dearie! I'm glad that the good outbalanced the weariness--God's good like that. :)
ReplyDeleteBTW, that's so cool that your little brother's name is Caleb Josiah! If I had a little boy today, or adopted one, his name would definitely be Caleb Joseph, and Josiah Robert is one of my other favorites. :)
As usual, you are one busy busy lady. I'm glad classes have been easy going thus far! That's GREAT! Hopefully we'll get to chat a little longer Thursday, about all dat stuff. Redundant is our middle name, and that's the way (uh huh, uh huh) we like it (uh huh, uh huh). ;) The kids are all getting pretty excited about possible travels your direction! Z said "So, what's this I hear about paintball??" :P
ReplyDeleteLove ya sister, and hope your day is full of joy n' grace n' peace n' love n' mercies anew!
I love reading about your joys! Going to a nursing home and painting nails? Love it! What a sweetheart you are!
ReplyDeleteWhew. You sound really busy!! But it sounds like you are seeing joy in the rush, which is always good. :) Life seems less flurried and hurried if I pause and reflect the joys in my days instead of all I have to get done. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Melinda
For whenever you decide to grace us bloggers with your presence again, I've left you an award on my 04/17/10 post :)
ReplyDeleteYou are learning Swahili?! I have never in all my life heard of anyone setting out to learn this language!
ReplyDeleteMy mom lived in Tanzania for some time growing up, so when we were little at the supper table she would teach us bits of Swahili. I can scramble through some basic conversation and ask you to pass the meat! We'd even skip our jumpropes to English/Swahili songs:
Jambo bwana
freshy banana
if you don't like it
say HAPANA!
