We made lots of good food together, also tradition! I was excited to take both of their family pictures, and baby pictures. We went shopping, played with the boys, stayed up late, watched movies, and talked talked talked like ladies do. ;) I have to say the fellowship and the visiting is my favorite part, whether our hands are busy, or we're completely engrossed in conversation. Sharing, laughing, and talking about where the Lord has brought us, about hard stuff, good stuff, etc...it feels really good with friends. It's not about having ALOT of them, just about being real with the ones you have.

Summer Bloggin' Catchup: Chapter Four
VACAYSHUUUN 2009
RanchGirl and BananaFlowerMama and I have been friends for nearly a decade now. Lord willing, we're planning a yearly tradition to have a threesome get-together. Last year in July they were 4ish-5 months pregnant, not eating a whole lot, and positively glowing. We decided to to it again this year, only this time they had their little men in tow and we're eating a whole lot better. :D
I would love to post more pictures, but my blog isn't private--if you're a friend of mine on Facebook I should have some up today. ;)
I flew to BananaFlowers and met my nephew Quadey--who's a little ham of personality, just like his Mama. I can't wait to see what Banana in teenage boy form is going to be like. We road-tripped to RanchGirl's, where I met my nephew Quintin--the spitting image of his Daddy + Winnie-the-Pooh. Together, I thought the boys reminded me of Pooh and Tigger--quite funny. Getting to see my seesters and their boys together was sure the sock-rockinest thing ever. Pure preciousness! They make amazing, loving, self-sacrificing wives and mommies, and it was a blessing to see them in action. And who can complain when there's a baby or two to hold all the time for ten days straight? ;)

I think the Tigger and Whinnie the Pooh comparison is spot on! You should see Quade bounce up and down when he's standing up and you'd laugh your head off. I'll have to catch it on video some time. Had a great time with you, as always. Miss the company every day. :)
ReplyDeleteHa, yeah, and this is not the first time I have signed in under Cameratismo and forgotten to sign out! Since I've been working on it, I always click the "remember me" button, and so far its taking me a while to remember to check before I leave comments. :P We'll have to stress that to the circle members, so that it doesn't cause confusion. ;)
